While the case can be made that Wizard Quest is fine for all ages, I wouldn’t take children under 8. Not only because of how much you’ll be on your feet, but the younger age groups may not have the attention span necessary to get through the entire game. It’s also worth noting that a few of the characters can be a bit scary!

My children were 8 and 9 at the time of this visit, and while they enjoyed it, they were ready to go by the end. That said, the whimsical world of Wizard Quest will undoubtedly enthrall those with vivid imaginations and a love for all things fantastical. Something must be said about their abilities to notice things that our adult eyes might not otherwise pick up!

Where Do I Park for Wizard Quest?

There’s an on-site parking lot at Wizard Quest. This spacious parking area ensures you can easily find a spot for your vehicle, giving you peace of mind as you embark on your magical journey. Plus, with its proximity to the attraction, you won’t have to worry about a long walk before stepping inside Wizard Quest.

If the on-site parking lot is full, other options exist. If you’re traveling on average weekdays, street parking is usually readily available (typically only $5 for the day!) Just a short stroll away, these alternative parking spots provide a convenient solution for when the on-site lot might be at capacity.

To make your parking experience even smoother, it’s a good idea to plan and check if any special events or holidays might impact the availability of parking spaces. Preparing beforehand will save you time and allow you to enjoy your visit without any parking-related headaches fully.

Are There Wizard Quest Coupons?

The best way to save money visiting Wizard Quest is to buy a combination ticket. Since I knew we’d be visiting Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Wizard Quest, we opted for the Downtown Discovery Pass. One super important thing to note is that when you buy your Downtown Discovery Pass, save your receipt! No one mentioned this to us upon purchase at Ripley’s, but the receipt was then asked for at Wizard Quest. Luckily I’m a receipt-saver, but the people in front of us had a bit of a hassle as they’d tossed the receipt upon purchasing the tickets earlier.

Saving money is key when visiting the Wisconsin Dells, as each attraction can add up quickly! I’ve found that a few online places offer supposed discount tickets to Wizard Quest, but none of them seemed super reputable.

How Long Does It Take To Go Through Wizard Quest?

You’re given two hours to complete as many quests as possible. With our family of four, we finished about half of the quests in our allotted time. I didn’t notice until about halfway through that the quest givers tell you beforehand how long and how difficult the quests are expected to be. While I wouldn’t have let this change my plan of action, some might factor that in when it comes to choosing which quests to complete.

While you can leave earlier than the two hours given, I doubt you’ll want to (especially if you’re competitive, like me!)

So if you’re going into Wizard Quest looking to beat it (or get as close as possible), I recommend these tips:

• Gather your team wisely. Wizard’s Quest is best experienced with friends or family members sharing your sense of adventure. Collaborate and communicate effectively to solve puzzles and conquer challenges together. Remember, teamwork makes the magic happen!
• Is time running out? Visit Swindly – the turtle fellow running a shop in the Water Realm. Scan the QR code there, and he might have an opportunity for you to add a few minutes to your clock!
• Keep your eyes peeled for hidden clues and cleverly disguised objects. Even if you think something is irrelevant to your current quest, remember it! The creators of Wizard Quest have masterfully incorporated elements that require a keen eye and sharp observation skills to notice. Look beyond the obvious and pay attention to the details – you never know what secrets are lurking in plain sight.
• Create an account upon entry. When you’re given your tablet, you can create an account or proceed as a guest if you plan to return to Wizard Quest – which you’ll want to! – Create an account to save your progress.
• Take notes along the way. As you progress through the various rooms and encounter different puzzles, jotting down any important information or clues can be a game-changer. Whether it’s a symbol, a sequence, or a seemingly insignificant detail, your notes may hold the key to unlocking the next stage of your enchanted journey.

Wizard Quest Gift Shop

As with any attraction at the Dells, Wizard Quest has a gift shop at the end. One point of confusion was at the very beginning of the game, where the tablet tells you that glimmers will buy you real-world items. Naturally, this made us think there’d be prizes or tiered discounts for the gift shop! These “real world” items are meant to be purchased in Swindly’s shop during the game.

The only discount you’ll get at the gift shop is a 10% off coupon upon finishing the game. That said, the cost of items at the Wizard Quest gift shop wasn’t outrageous. While some items were definitely on the higher end, there were plenty of affordable options. My kids each got super cool wands for around $9 each, and my husband picked up this cute dragon for only $3.99!
