An excellent opportunity to approach people is to buy a simple gift to welcome the neighbors. Welcoming them with a gift is how a new relationship is formed, and it’s always great getting off on the right foot with people you’ll be living near for years to come.

If you live in a growing community where new homes are still being built. This means you will have lots of new neighbors coming in.

While gifts are nice to bring to new families, you don't want to go overboard or buy anything expensive.

Food or goodies would make yummy treats for your new neighbors and make a great first impression. Depending on the weather and where you live, you want to consider what to bring.

If it's summer and extremely hot, anything chocolate would be a melted mess. Freezer pops would be a perfect summer treat that wouldn’t break the bank. They are great for both adults and kids to eat during a hot summer. You can get them at Walmart or your local store.

For winter you can make deserts, hot chocolate, or something warm for your neighbors to try. If you want to make your welcoming extra special, you can hit up the dollar store to buy household items for the neighbors. A mug, picture frames, containers, or anything you may see will do.

The dollar store also has a great variety of baskets, buckets, cleaning materials you might want to think about. You may never know what your neighbors may need.

Maybe pick up some curling ribbon and a pack of craft foam sheets for the tags.
