The problem is, OP would have to pay her own way. The total cost would come in at several thousand dollars, and that’s a bit much to swallow.

It’s not that OP doesn’t have the money, because she technically does. It’s just that she can’t afford to spend it on a trip.
She Works Like a Maniac
OP doesn’t make a lot of money at her job, but she works tons of hours. And she saves like a fiend, which has let her build up a nice little nest egg.

But OP is saving that money to help build a better life in the future, not to spend on a lavish trip.
It Would Be an Expensive Memory
Just the cash outlay for attending the wedding would be more than the combined value of OP’s possessions, including her car!
