In a recent interview on Meet the Press with moderator Kristen Welker, former President Donald Trump addressed the looming possibility of jail time stemming from his four indictments. Here’s the full story.
Trump Is Not Worried
When asked if he worries about the prospect of imprisonment, the ex-commander-in-chief responded with confidence, saying, “No, I don’t.”
I’m Built a Little Differently
Trump went on to explain his mindset, saying, “I don’t even think about it. I’m built a little differently, I guess because I have had people come up to me and say, ‘How do you do it, sir? How do you do it?’ I don’t even think about it.”
Trump Is Going to Win
“When you say, do I lose sleep? I sleep,” he added.
“Because I truly feel that, in the end, we’re going to win,” Trump concluded.
Trump Slammed Biden
Despite his apparent confidence that he will emerge untouched from the legal challenges he faces, Trump has not shied away from criticizing President Biden and his prosecutors for pursuing charges against him.
Leading Republican Nominee
On September 15, Trump took aim at Special Counsel Jack Smith for requesting a gag order that would prevent the former president from speaking publicly about his case.
He wrote on Truth Social, stating, “Biden Prosecutor, Deranged Jack Smith, has asked the Court to limit the 45th President, and leading Republican Nominee (by more than 50 points, & beating Dems!) DONALD J. TRUMP’S, PUBLIC STATEMENTS.”
Biden Has Weaponized the DOJ
“So, I’m campaigning for President against an incompetent person who has WEAPONIZED the DOJ & FBI to go after his Political Opponent, & I am not allowed to COMMENT?
They Leak, Lie, and sue, & they won’t allow me to SPEAK? How else would I explain that Jack Smith is DERANGED, or Crooked Joe is INCOMPETENT?” he added.
Deranged Jack Smith
He also addressed the prosecutor’s request during a speech at the Washington, D.C. Pray Vote Stand Summit.
“Today, we had this prosecutor, deranged Jack Smith. Has anyone ever heard of him?” Trump asked the audience.
Take Away Trump’s First Amendment Rights
“I wonder what his name used to be. Jack Smith sounds so nice, doesn’t it? He’s a deranged individual, and he wants to take away my First Amendment rights. They went to court to get an order that I can’t speak,” he added.
Beating Biden by a Lot
“Now you’ve got to understand, I’m the leading candidate by fifty points, and I’m beating Biden by a lot,” Trump declared.
“And they want to see if they can silence me so the media, the fake news, will ask me a question, ‘I’m sorry, I won’t be able to answer that.
How do you think we will do in that election? So we’re gonna have a little bit of fun with that, I think because that’s a tough one. Can you imagine?” he concluded.
“I Guess Traitors Are Built Differently”

Another user added, “Of course, he can sleep well…he knows he is just running to Russia the day they hand down the first guilty verdict! Like this coward would stick around for sentencing!”
