The Best Man
Bill is feeling the pressure of being the best man for his best friend’s upcoming wedding. He’s behind on things, like getting his own formal wear tailored.
The reason is that he has lost a lot of weight over the past year and hasn’t had time to go to a tailor.
A Valentine’s Day Treat
With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, Bill and his wife decide to make the most of the day by going to the tailor’s appointment together before heading out to happy hour for wings and beers.
He decides to make an appointment at the local shop, and his wife comes with him.
It Was Chaos!
As they enter the shop, Bill is immediately overwhelmed by the chaos inside.
He is standing in a mini funhouse of mirrors with an older Asian lady tailoring his suit and seemingly controlling his every move, telling him “nonono” every time he shifts his weight!
A Noise Behind Them
Suddenly, he hears a man repeatedly saying, “Excuse me,” behind him.
Bill assumes that the man is looking for a member of staff and ignores him.
He Did What?!
After a few more “excuse me”s, the man became increasingly agitated and screamed, “Are you deaf?!” before violently spinning Bill’s wife around by the arm.
Bill’s wife, who is only 5’0 and 105 lbs., may look small, but she is far from defenseless.
She’s Got a Strong Background
Thanks to her military background, she has years of training in martial arts, such as Krav Maga and Taekwondo.
So She Knew How to React
Without hesitation, she elbowed the man in the diaphragm and pushed him back while sternly telling him to keep his hands off her.
At this point, Bill tried to intervene, but he couldn’t move because of the tailor’s pins and needles all over his body.
He Rushed at Her!
Before he could even say a word, the man charged at Bill’s wife in a full fighting stance.
She’s Got a Certain Set of Skills
Now, it’s important to understand that Bill’s wife is not one to mess with.
She is a powerhouse, and when faced with an attacker, she knows how to defend herself.
In this instance, she takes a half step back and assumes a fighting stance that Bill is all too familiar with.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Bride
The attacker, unaware of what he was getting himself into, threw a punch at Bill’s wife. In one swift move, she spun around, and her Doc Martens boot connected with the side of the attacker’s face with a resounding thud.
The man’s trajectory changed immediately, and he falls to the ground, out cold.
They Came at the Right Time
It took a few minutes for the police to arrive, but when they did, the attacker was just coming.
The staff and Bill all give statements, and it is clear that the attacker was in the wrong.
He not only had a shattered orbital and broken teeth, but he was also handcuffed and taken away in an ambulance.
A Crazy Situation!
After all is said and done, Bill can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation.
He knows that his wife is not to be messed with, and he can’t take her anywhere without something interesting happening.
At the end of the day, though, he is grateful that his wife is able to defend herself and that they are both safe.
She’s a Powerhouse!
The moral of the story? Don’t mess with Bill’s wife. She may be small, but she is mighty, and she knows how to defend herself.
And as for Bill…well, he knows that he will never underestimate his wife’s strength again.
