Our storyteller, a 26-year-old woman, had a 24-year-old guy as a friend who was going through a tough time when they met less than two years ago.
He had lost his house, was on the brink of losing his wife and daughter, and had no job, income, education, or friends.
They Had Mutual Interests
The mutual friend who introduced them thought they would get along because of their similar interests in sports, music, and games, among other things.
And they did hit it off pretty fast and became good friends.
She Was a Good Influence
The Original Poster (OP) tried to help him in any way she could. She helped get him a job and a side hustle that could earn him a few extra bucks.
In no time, he was able to afford a simple house to live in, and things were starting to look up for him.
But This Guy Had a Major Flaw
His wife was happier, and his daughter even got an art kit as a present and kept on drawing every day! However, her new buddy had a pretty major flaw – he was a really rude guy.
If you said something he didn’t like, even if it was true, he’d get mad and throw insults at you. But since he never acted that way toward OP, she didn’t try and think too much of it.
Another Trivial Fight
Fast forward to last month, the mutual friend who introduced OP and her new friend got into a fight with him over something trivial that had something to do with an online game.
What an Overreaction!
Her new friend went crazy over the matter and almost threw fists at their mutual friend!
She Was Not Happy
As soon as OP saw that, she lost her temper and gave him a few harsh words, which made him also get mad at her!
She told him that he didn’t have to treat people that way and that if he kept playing the victim and searching for someone to blame for his mistakes, he would end up alone.

But as the days went on, he started saying nasty things to OP and her family, friends, and co-workers.

Today, she got the news that he had finally lost his job due to how he had been treating everyone around him these days! The very same job OP got him.

Now, he only has one friend left by his side; all the rest has cut off contact with him due to his rudeness. His wife?
Well, she filed for divorce and custody of their daughter. He has little to no money left to pay his bills as he already got a warning that he’s in his last week of the side hustle.
She’s Not Getting Involved With Him Again!
The only friend he had left reached out to OP for help to try and give him a better life once again.
However, all she could do was laugh. She didn’t try to get revenge or do anything to ruin his life – he managed to do that on his own.
She did nothing but block him as soon as he tried to ruin her life.
She Was Happy for the First Time in Ages
For the first time in a long time, OP felt a warm fuzzy feeling in her chest – she was happy about what had happened.
She didn’t feel even the slightest hint of guilt. Karma had finally caught up to him, and he was getting what was coming to him.
Cut Toxicity Out of Your Life
OP felt better after cutting ties with her toxic friend, and she didn’t regret it one bit.
