The overarching message of the poll is that Democratic voters want to see alternative candidates in the mix, given that Joe Biden holds the distinction of being the oldest-serving president in United States history.

However, no serious challengers have emerged to Biden on the Democratic side so far.

Self-help author and motivational speaker Marianne Williamson announced her campaign earlier this year, but she is seen as a long-shot candidate.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also launched a long-shot bid for the Democratic nomination back in April, following in the footsteps of his late father, Robert F. “Bobby” Kennedy, who tragically lost his life during his own 1968 bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Approximately 82 percent of Democrats said they want to see the party nominate “someone besides Joe Biden” for office, according to the report.

Harris downplayed those concerns, saying that “Joe Biden is going to be fine.”
“I work with Joe Biden every day,” she said. “The work that under Joe Biden’s leadership our administration has accomplished is transformative. I think the American people, most of all, want a leader who actually gets things done.”
